Raise your voice! Mentors from the Nyundo School of Art and Music visited to work with our very own ASYV band. Then the mentors took the stage with our students during Village Time, offering a showstopping performance to the entire student body! 👏

This weekend, we hosted events to celebrate the women of ASYV, both students & staff, in honor of #InternationalWomensDay. Through creative expression and spaces for reflection, the day sought to create dialogue and connection around values central to Village life: #GenderEquity.

These photos were taken by the members of our Girls Media Class! “When I came to ASYV, I realized I loved photography,” says Keza Audrey. “But it can be scary. This class gives us confidence. I want to tell girls to not be scared. If you want a camera, go ask for it.” #IWD2026

What a Grand Study Tour! From volcanoes to waterfalls, our 4th-year students visited many of Rwanda’s natural wonders. They also saw exciting industries including hydropower, food production, medical research, wildlife conservation, and more in action! #SeeRwanda #SeeFarGoFar

Geology in action! Our 4th-year students hiked to the nearby Rubona community quarry to study how the quarry impacts the environment and surrounding community. They also learned important lessons in sustainable entrepreneurship.  #SeeFarGoFar

Aim for the stars! Our 3rd- and 4th-year students got to chat with representatives from universities across Rwanda during our Education Fair. From hospitality to the sciences, these institutions are producing professionals who are leading Rwanda’s growing industries. #SeeFarGoFar

Our IRIS team is conducting an awareness campaign about IRIS in Rwanda’s refugee camps. IRIS, run in partnership with @isomo_rw and the Shapiro Foundation, provides #refugee students with the academic, mental health & financial support they need to thrive in top 2nd-dary schools.

Give a big Village 👏 to the ASYV robotics team! These #YoungInnovators did a fantastic job in the district robotics tournament.  During the heated competition, students programmed robots to complete a game course. They also presented how robots can solve real-world challenges.
