Apparently I've just wasted 2+ hours and 20+ lines of code on what could have been solved with a question mark.

Got my delegate set up, now just establishing the connection between my ViewController and my DetailView.

My app isn’t crashing anymore! Turns out I’d left some unnecessary inits in the detail view from a previous attempt. On top of that, I’ve set up my delegate and protocol and now am tying it all together in ViewController.

Been (re)reading a lot about delegates and protocols lately. I think I’m finally starting to put the pieces together...

Bonus: What's the first step you take in solving a programming issue?

Been working on this problem for forever now. Trying to get my name and date to show up on my cell in the viewWillDisappear method.
