@WarrenDavidson “but its application presented difficulties beyond our conception. What with our ultra-modern standards, our scientific approach to everything, we are perhaps not well equipped to apply the powers of good that lie outside our synthetic knowledge.” Doctors Opinion 😉

Waging a spiritual war without using spiritual weapons isn’t working. The mental health crisis in our country is severe, but some of the issues are beyond the scope of government. “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” Luke 20:25

@MokiDigitalCat @blockbytescom We were never paid in shimmer and I never received even $1. Every single dollar I put into shimmer was my own. So, you can imagine how that feels atm.

@blockbytescom Asking you to disclose how much Shimmer were paying you, if the ten percent of your portfolio you allocated to it was your own money, and if you still hold that ten percent today having told people how passionate you were about the chain... isn't trolling.

The bull is back,🐂 and it is time to bring back the good old days of shit posting and having fun. I’m officially taking back over the main account again. **This is a long post and apologies ahead of time. But it seemed fitting as a return**😃 Blockbytes has been through multiple evolutions over the last few years. From my personal account to FTM Alerts and then to Blockbytes and now back to my personal account again. When I started FTM Alerts I did it because it was fun, and I enjoyed it. I never expected it to ever do anything, and I certainly never expected the following years to go like they did. It was a labor of love. I really loved being able to use my platform as a way of helping the builders to connect to the community (and vice versa). It was pure and simple and just me and always free. By doing it in this way it ensured that I always had the ability to say “NO” if my gut told me that a project wasn’t right for my channel. As it so happens my gut wasn't always right 🧠 There was a period of time with FTM Alerts where I was doing 4-5 AMAs per week and taking 10-15 project calls during that same week. If you wanted to come on the show you had to hop on a call with me and you had to show your face. Even if you were anonymous. The reason I told people was that I wanted them to have skin in the game by revealing to me who they were. The truth however was that I needed a real human to connect the project to. Crypto is cool and fun and I can get excited about a fun new dapp. But to know the people behind the dapp, the ones spending hours to create something new and the ones who’s hopes and dreams were pinned on the success or failure of their idea, that is where the juice was for me, and I couldn’t find the enthusiasm I needed without it. In May of 2022 I told the Fantom guys that I needed to stop. It had been a year of working full time for free and the magic was starting to fade. I love and respect the $FTM crew and will always have a special place in my heart for them. They are excellent folks and will always have my full support. Anyhow…. back to the story. Before the summer of 2022 Clay joined the team and my hope for him was that I could pass the baton and that he could keep things going for the community and I could go spend more time with my family. But Clay, coming from corporate America had bigger ideas in mind. The move to Blockbytes was really an attempt to go crosschain and expand our horizons beyond what was possible as FTM Alerts. Clay put together a business plan that, on its face, looked like a winner. But something about completely changing from a fun passion project to an actual business didn’t sit right with me. It never has even to this day. In actual practice the plan fell short. As with many things in life this was a learning experience that taught me a lot. To try and make a business in this industry (Just by creating content) is difficult. Especially if there is a payroll to maintain. At FTM Alerts it was just me. I shot the content, did the editing and the publishing. Mainly because we weren’t income generating so it wouldn’t have made any sense to hire someone and pay for it out of pocket. It seems like half of the viewers understood that to run a business (with employees) you have to generate income. The other half think you are a shitbag for accepting payments. The latter half (mostly the ones hiding behind a pseudonym and an avatar) tend to be the most vocal and, for better or worse, love to share their opinions. I’m not a terribly thick-skinned person. In fact, when people would troll me or express their displeasure with something I had said it would always hit me hard. I never shared this publicly because I didn’t want you guys to know how much it bothered me. I did my best to ignore or push it down inside of me, but it still lingered. Which didn’t make me very well suited for the “for profit” side of crypto content creation. While there are a few medium to large channels who create amazing content for their subscriber base (and do it in an honest way), there are tons of others who genuinely are shit bags who don’t care about their followers. The problem is that it is hard to tell who’s who, especially if they are anonymous. But there is one aspect of all of this that has kept me going and it is you guys. The friendships I’ve made and the ones to come are far and away the biggest payoff about all of this. Back when I was doing AMAs for FTM Alerts I got to meet some amazing builders and learn along the way. Most of the time these guys were talking about concepts that I couldn’t fully understand. But I would smile and nod while furiously googling in real-time, so I didn’t look like a jackass (or more of one) on a live stream. Turns out I was able to learn a lot simply by interviewing the ones who were actually in the game making shit happen. About 60 days ago I let everyone go with the exception of Corval and Emmitt (our producer) and decided that we would no longer renew the contract that we had with the chain that was sponsoring our channel. Having 4 kids it began to cost me greatly to show up every day and do the shows while missing time with my family. Oh, and for no money which didn't always make sense to my family. Since 100% of every sponsorship went to pay the salaries I never took a paycheck If you made it this far then I thank you. It really shows me that you care (or are bored…or a psychopath…either way I appreciate you). Crypto is fucking wild and will continue to be. But it is also where the magic happens. The magic is what drew me into this in the first place. The promise of a better life for me and my family and that promise came true! So, I want to get back to doing what I love which is helping others to realize that same dream. Some of you will still troll and that’s okay. I’ll just mute you and then you’ll be talking to yourself. Some of you guys will completely disagree with my takes and that’s okay! We can disagree and still be friends. Sometimes I’ll make a big bet on a token that doesn’t pan out the way that I thought it would. All of these things can and will happen. That’s okay! For me this is about the journey. I’m not anyone special. I don’t have any great technical knowledge like some friends I know. But what I do have is myself…genuinely and authentically. So that is what I will share, once again, from this account that started it all. Tomorrow my youngest turns 1. He was born at 31 weeks (9 weeks early), and we really didn’t know how he was going to pull through. But he did and so did we. So, I’m going to celebrate this boy tomorrow. Because life is beautiful, and I intend to live it to the fullest. Let's go have some fun and make this Bull run the best ever!

I hope no one reading this had any tokens on bit forex. Id imagine that Garrett will come forth with an update/ option soon. Hopefully everything is okay. But, its not looking great. Never ever trust an exchange. This isn’t TD Ameritrade. Crypto exchanges are a whole other animal. Get a ledger, trezor or a gidplus and never leave coins on an exchange. Ever, for any reason. Trade and get off.

As an add-on to this post. By using Rabby.io wallet instead of MM it has approval revoking built right into the UI. Just click the approvals button and itll show you all approvals across all chains and you can revoke one by one very easily. Strongly recommended.

Every single person who uses a web3 wallet and does anything on a dex or in Defi needs to be doing this regularly. I personally try never to go more than 2 weeks without clearing every single approval on ever single wallet I have. Stay safe out there my friends

Today is my bi-weekly approval revoking day. On occasion I make a post about it because in my experience the amount of bad opsec in crypto is crazy and tons of people dont even know what approvals are...much less why they should revoke them regularly. TLDR; use revoke.cash and revoke all approvals regularly. 👇
