Azerbaijan’s parliament has warned of a coordinated disinformation campaign targeting the country and the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. Officials say the effort involves lobbying groups, media outlets and online networks operating across multiple countries.

Minval Politika has released additional footage it says further details the alleged networks behind the Ocampo case. The outlet says the material includes remarks attributed to former ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo about funding linked to Armenian and Russian-Armenian sources. In the footage, Ocampo allegedly refers to ‘rich Armenians’, ‘Russian-Armenians’ creating a fund, and money from an ‘Armenian from Russia’. Minval Politika says the material also refers to social media campaigns, international legal proceedings and work initially carried out pro bono. The outlet argues the alleged activities may extend beyond Azerbaijan and raise questions over possible influence on Armenia’s internal political landscape.

Based on the results from April, our long-range sanctions have reached a new level across three components: reducing Russia’s oil revenues, as well as the range and intensity of sanctions. It is important that not only is the target itself reached, as defined by the operational objective, but that the downtime of the target is increased or, at the very least, its operations are significantly reduced. According to the most conservative estimates, since the beginning of the year, the aggressor state has lost at least $7 billion solely as a direct result of our precise sanctions against Russia’s oil industry and refining sector – due to direct hits, downtime, and delays in shipments. I am grateful to all our warriors of the Defense Forces of Ukraine who, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and our intelligence agencies, are delivering these results. We will scale up our long-range systems capabilities. Decisions are being prepared. Glory to Ukraine!

Statement of the TURKPA Secretary General on the Decision of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan to Suspend Cooperation with the European Parliament We express our support for the decision adopted today by the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan to officially suspend cooperation with the European Parliament across all areas, to cease participation in the activities of the EU-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, and to initiate procedures for the termination of its membership in the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly. This decision is justified in light of the continued biased and unsubstantiated approach demonstrated by the European Parliament towards Azerbaijan in recent years. Over the past six years, the European Parliament has been pursuing a hostile approach against Azerbaijan and has adopted more than 10 politically motivated resolutions unjustifiably attacking the country, including the most recent resolution of 30 April 2026. Such a stance not only disregards the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in internal affairs, but also run counter to the peace and normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Parliamentary assemblies are expected to serve as a platform for constructive dialogue and good-faith cooperation, including with the parliaments of non-member states. Regrettably, the European Parliament has failed to demonstrate spirit of genuine engagement, but instead resorted to targeting Azerbaijan. We emphasize that such conduct does not contribute to effective parliamentary relations and to call on the European Parliament to refrain from such kind of practice.
