How’s this a penalty and red card. They are just giving any decision they like to their fav team x.com/FWFW11_1/statu…

This training drill is exactly why we’re seeing such rapid transitions and 1-touch passing on match

If we decide to sign a midfielder, I hope we go for Elliot Anderson.
He can play as a holding midfielder, box to box, 8 and 10. Plus, he's durable, technically gifted, a grafter, insane workrate and wins a lot of duels.
Wharton, for me is a 6 but he's not durable or as physical as Anderson.
Mainoo is more of a box to box than a 6, or let's say, a second 6 but he doesn't cover a lot of ground or defensively aware and questionable workrate. It's not much of a problem in a midfield 3 system but if you have better options why settle for less.
In my opinion, Elliot Anderson is ahead of these two guys. Imagine Caicedo - Anderson pivot. Caicedo can be allowed to roam if he wants because Anderson to top defensive out of possession. They can interchange roles during the game.

If Chelsea decide to sign a midfielder next summer, who would be your first choice❓️ 1. Adam Wharton 2. Elliot Anderson 3. Kobbie Mainoo 4. Not listed

@Blue_Footy @JacobsBen Why waste 50m when Jackson can easily slot in at the left wing?

In my opinion, for managers, it's about building trust. They all make occasional mistakes and miscalculations like every human being.
But it's about how much you trust your manager to sort it and get it right. Expecting a manager to always get it right is just a pipe dream. It's impossible.
Most of Maresca's criticisms are coming from a lack of trust more than anything. It's understandable if there are fans who don't trust him. He has to win them over because we all have different levels of expectation.
For me, I trust his judgement even though he makes mistakes here and there. He's always aware of his mistakes and always tries to improve. He's not as stubborn as people think. He's flexible but has his personality and philosophy. Staying true to what you believe in isn't being stubborn, it's trusting what you do.
He navigated our season brilliantly even when some of us had lost hope. The truth remains that, with the makeup of this team, we have no right to be looking at competing with the best or challenging for the Premier League but he kept us close and made the top 4, which is a massive improvement.
We will keep improving under him. The mistake most of us make is thinking that this team and the manager are perfect or should be perfect and that they won't make silly mistakes. No, they are still learning and will have bozo moments here and there.
That's the profile of our team and that's the honest truth. It's about improving every month, every season and keep getting better and minimising mistakes.
Hopefully, we will soon be stable enough to earn that trust but before then, try to trust the process even if you don't fully trust the manager. It's not entirely his fault. It's collective.
