I’ve got an announcement to make... I’m having a baby 🤰🏾! After a myomectomy - removing 13 fibroid tumors, a ruptured cyst that caused me to lose one ovary and one fallopian tube and a less than 20% chance of ever conceiving. God has blessed us and my baby is on the way.

Elijah McClain was walking home when he was surrounded, assaulted and killed by Aurora PD. He was unarmed and committed no crime. He was so frightened he vomited during this violent encounter with police and then went into cardiac arrest. He was 23 years old.

Just reminding everyone of a black life that DEFINITELY mattered, murdered by Aurora PD. See his smile, hear his laugh, know his soul. No arrests, all 3 cops still on the squad with no repercussions. #ElijahMcClain #BlackLivesMatter #sayhisname #alwayswithgratitude

Here are some ideas for how to do that: 1. Educate yourself about racism in agriculture. There are several excellent books on the subject - we recommend Farming While Black by Leah Penniman, Freedom Farmers by Monica White, and Dispossession by Pete Daniel.

In response to our press release last week on racism and police brutality, we've heard from several people saying that this is "not an agricultural issue." But we disagree. Agriculture, like many industries, is rife with racism. It is our responsibility to fight that racism.
