@mienaimitais after this they have a lot of detailed scenes of this character experiencing intersexism/transphobia and torture (primarily at the hands of a cis woman who is just Inherently Evil unlike various male chars that are later 'redeemed') which is. its own can of worms

@mienaimitais think there's a lot to be said about how this char being intersex is used to make him conveniently entirely passing except for Penis + how this puberty makes no sense + how it also perfectly aligns with his gender identity in this kind of weird conflation(??) of trans /intersex

I wonder to what extent R07 was actually involved in this decision? Higurashi as an IP is pretty big, so I wouldn't be surprised if multiple entities were involved in this, especially given how many releases of Higurashi are by third party companies that could have some rights
