The King is head of the Church of England. It has 26 bishops in the House of Lords. And yet the CoE still gets away with treating gay people as second-class citizens....and the big money wants to keep it that way. @ThinkAnglicans prospectmagazine.co.uk/ideas/religion…

@fm5782 @ListerLawrence Thanks & yes, consensus seems to be to keep the 7.5 & then move on to something else entirely in time.
English

@benjaminfuller @ListerLawrence 320i petrol granted its 3 years old but not to bad on the run to work managing 54mpg. I had the 7.5 golf trust me keep yours bombproof 👍
English

@fm5782 @ListerLawrence Out of interest why was the Golf 8.5 horrendous? People say it solved some of the problems of Golf 8. I still love my Golf 7.5 & wonder whether to look at swapping up to an 8.5. And which Beemer did you go for instead?
English

@ListerLawrence From my experience stay away from the 8.5 golf it’s horrendous, I kept mine for 5 months and traded it in for a BMW 👍

@philatrail @AvantiWestCoast .@ListerLawrence’s @AvantiWestCoast Breakfast looks a lot better than the ones on the ECML. Proper eggs, freshly cooked! 👏👏
English

Have to say that @AvantiWestCoast first class breakfast looks, er, first class!

I’m usually the first to moan about @AvantiWestCoast - but today, for the first time in a long time, the service has been absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! The team couldn’t have been more attentive or hard working and I must have been asked 3 times in the first hour if I needed anything else. Credit where credit is due - keep it up Avanti team on the 9am Preston to Euston! 👏 Full disclosure I’m not in London yet so…. hopefully no delays 🤞

29 miles travelled in just 47 minutes. Wow, an incredible 35 mph! Who knew inter-city trains could move that fast?!

It was a privilege to pay homage to His Majesty The King at Buckingham Palace.
I give thanks for His Majesty’s deep Christian faith, demonstrated in his life of service to our nation and the Commonwealth. I was conscious today of having paid homage to the King's late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, when I became Bishop of London.
I am grateful for his support of the Church of England as I now begin this new ministry as the Archbishop of Canterbury.

English

@MichaelSadgrove An understandable decision, however your wisdom, beautiful photos & regular insights into & reminders of the things which really matter in life will be missed. All best wishes . Ben

@benjaminfuller Grenadine Red. It is an option but not one of the expensive Exclusive colours. Think it’s about £750 off the top of my head

@adrianfclarke @benjaminfuller I think the XJ40 got away with it, trading on its woody leatheriness, and being a low volume car from a tiny manufacturer. Jag's real trouble was when they tried to tackle German rivals head on, but lacking the resources, not least the muscle to offer competitive finance deals.
