@kchironis Word. Me and my daughter played a ton of Pokémon: Let's go because it let her join in when she wanted and didn't punish her for wandering off or getting distracted. Copilot mode on console can be great too but more games with an explicit "interested spectator" mode would be great

there is such a void of games in this space— beautiful, well-crafted experiences that parents and very young kids can play together.

astrobot is absolutely magical. our toddler is potty training this weekend, so we’ve been mostly housebound and playing it. she loves that she can “help” with some interactions like single-button presses that have big, juicy outcomes (like zooming into space!)

Hey @LocalThunk, can't wait for Balatro on the phone (yes, we do all have them). But on the Play Store it says PEGI 7 for Fear. Is the game not rated PEGI 18 for Gambling?

I’m pretty much a PC illiterate noob so getting this running tonight has made me happy ❤️ OutRun 2 with all the nice mods / patches for the PC version running on ROG Ally X. Amazes me you do this on a handheld device! What a time to be alive.

@BleachedInk Do it - when I was a teenager my folks had a mad old farm house in the mountains where the garden was way too steep and rocky for a mower and so me and my dad both learned to use a scythe with the help of the local farmers. It's super satisfying when it clicks :)

I watch ONE video about a dude using a traditional scythe to cut the grass and now I'm looking at where to buy one, how to properly maintain and use it, what kind of whetstone I should use, what the optimal height is and how-

Smashing goals is becoming the norm! Just squatted 95kg or 15 stone or 209lbs depending where you're from. I love how I'm seeing improvements every day atm. Don't be discouraged, though, if you're not getting results as quickly as you want. Stick with it! You're kicking butt!!

It's my daughter's 9th birthday today and if that's not an excuse to get excited and make things I don't know what is :) This year I re-bound her favourite book (@terryandrob's Wee Free Men) into a completely custom leather hardback for the occasion. Ach Crivens!

@GalaxyKate I think this works if your mental model of events is equivalent to CPU interrupts. Sadly they are often more like news - still hopefully true but often too late to trust their sequencing with other actions :/

Code really messed up by referring to things like keyup and mousedown as "events" when clearly they should be "instants" and "events" should be states with a duration.

@travisxuryan When infogrames bought Gremlin in 1999 Gremlin owned DMA design outright. Infogrames didn't think that DMA were worth the investment so they were sold off as part of the deal :)

I seem to recall Gremlin Interactive dropping GTA III in favour of Body Harvest, and the marketing department frothing to us how it’ll be the #1 N64 game that holiday - a little game called Ocarina of Time came out…
