Blessnet: Ethereum’s holy layer. Blessnet is a new layer that sits ontop of ethereum. It’s focused solely on augmenting assets that reside on the underlying chains and enhancing how users can interact onchain. The next billion people may or may not come, but we already have 10+ million we should pay more attention to. First, some precontext. By using a separate cheaper rollup to handle high load transactions, you reduce the pressure on the main chain. This is Job 1 of rollups. Now there’s alot of controversy on this model, whether it’s benefitting eth or not. This is because you have to transfer your value from one chain to another chain to get value/benefit from that chain. It’s become a case of “choose your silo”, rather than “spread your wings”. Blessnet is not a place to store valuable assets. (It is a place for valuable soul bound assets, but more on that in the future). Instead it’s designed to augment your existing assets on other chains, you can do more things with those assets. many more things. By removing eth as the native gas token and aiming for minimal TVL, you can now do more things without risk of getting drained. No longer do you have to be terrified of hitting confirm, you can’t get robbed if there’s nothing to steal! At it’s core, blessnet is a delegation chain. All a user has to do is switch network and they’re in. Blessnet has full EVM equivalence: any address you control on Ethereum you control on Blessnet. This ease of access brings an unparalled level of user asset security, while still being simple and easy to use. Bundle that with a few of blessnet’s novel features listed below, and you create an entirely new way of interacting onchain. Modular Permissions: Maybe you want an ai agent to vote for you. Maybe you want an ai agent to make airdrop claiming easier and safer. maybe you want to login to a game without having to use your hardware wallet. Blessnet enables all of this in a way where the ai agent that votes for you can’t rug you, your gmail can get hacked and they won’t be able to steal all your money. Through modular permissions you get all the benefits of ease of access UX while the downsides are extinguished. Ethereals: Blessnet reflects existing assets on other chains onto itself. This let’s projects enhance what users can do with their tokens/NFTs, from stuff as simple as adding additional metadata and perks to NFTs to native voting delegation. Mirrors: For blessnet to be a useful layer ontop of ethereum, it must have as much useful information as possible. This is accomplished through blessnet’s mirrors. Take delegations for example, blessnet can mirror all existing user wallet delegations across the EVM. Blessnet stems from the core understanding that the EVM offers more benefits than just new places to park assets. It’s a fundamentally new way of using ethereum.
