@NilloJustin I wouldn't say it's lost media since this isn'tt a case of the entire world not seeing it, as everyone did aside from the US. But it is a tragic shame that it didn't air tonight. This was one of the good eps of Season 9. Having Hologram Jam in its place adds insult to injury.

The Rescuers Down Under (1990) barely gets brought up, but it’s Disney flexing early CAPS animation, those sweeping eagle shots still look incredible, and McLeach’s death is surprisingly intense for a Disney villain, it doesn’t soften the fall at all.

@OliviaV3317 So to sum it up, Stage Combat used the age-up move from Season 5 to its advantage, kept the story focused on its main characters, and granted Luna a new skill that she can use going forward if the show desires. Some may see this as a loss, but I see it as a triple-win.

@OliviaV3317 the plot was driven by them without suddenly having a random 3rd character involved. We already had Boris present, who thankfully did not force the girls to reconcile. The episode's focus stayed squarely on Luna and Luan.
