𝟛/𝟚𝟜/𝟟𝟛 Coming to the brink of what @cityreadingpa had longed to achieve, @RHSquiresClub took on General Braddock in the Class A boys basketball final. A classic match-up came down to the very end ... and then some. With the game tied at 62, Reading turned the ball over with under 10 seconds remaining. Braddock ran into the front court and got fouled as the game clock ran out. Darryl Washington made the second of two FTs, and hearts sank in the Reading section of the arena and all over the city. The loss had one of the best state-tournament performances ever. The great 𝐒𝐭𝐮 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬𝐨𝐧 scored 38 points for the Red Knights. Reading waited another 44 years to get to the @PIAASports promised land. The anniversary of the 2017 6A championship is tomorrow.

Just like it was Thursday night with the Wilson girls, it was a privilege for me and @bmccoolspeaks to call last night’s dramatic victory for the Saints. We were fortunate to be there and are thankful to those who listened and watched.
