"My brother, Cyrus, passed away on May 20, 2026."
But for the actions of others, he would not have left us. But, I think, maybe this was God's decision and so I must always defer to God. And so, I humbly defer to God's wisdom.
"Nothing is perfect but God."
My brother, Cyrus, was like all men. He was imperfect and he made mistakes as all men do or they would be God.
He was not God.
"My brother, Cyrus, was many things."
Yes, my brother, Cyrus, had many faults and foibles.
But he had many, many attributes.
And although by profession he was an attorney, a CPA, and a financial analyst, these "titles" do not "define" him.
"And so I shall proclaim to the World the man that he was."
My brother, Cyrus, was named after Cyrus the Great, a wondrous Persian King. Cyrus the Great was extraordinary in history.
His kindness and tolerance of, and towards, others allowed the Persian empire to expand to one of the greatest and finest empires in human history. And so it was with my brother, Cyrus.
He was a kind man.
He was a tolerant man.
He was a generous man.
He was a man that was "curious" about his world.
He was a man that constantly strived to "learn" about his world.
He showed children how to "learn" about their world and made them smile and laugh.
And, he was a brilliant man.
He belongs to the "aristocracy of intellect."
“Genetically, I am inextricably linked to my brother.”
And I am inextricably linked to my brother for the man that he was.
The man that I admire.
I miss my brother, Cyrus, because we formed that familial unbreakable bond that has passed through the ages...
We are brother and sister.
Cyrus Dean Homayouni
I am his sister, Yasmin.
