Went home early from work because I have the crud going around. Hard to break from the mindset that I have to be there after decades where it felt like if I wasn’t there, the job wouldn’t be accomplished the way it should.

Dave treated me as a peer and equal, not looking down on me for being at a smaller newspaper. He will sorely be missed in our state’s prep sports circles.
