Using “spring run app.groovy”, an 85 character source code file, @habuma used Spring Boot to spin up rest web app.

Spring Boot - no/very little configuration required for common components.

As of Spring 3.0, config could be in Java. As long as business logic kept separate, nice feature - @habuma

Learning about Spring Boot w/ @habuma, he notes that in present day, Spring is NOT just about XML, contrary to what critics are saying.
