I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart. What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last. The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun @DapoAbiodunCON for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives. From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State. Our Renewed Hope reforms are not abstract. They have provided more resources for sub-nationals and are creating room for states to act and deliver. Many states, including Ogun, are rising to the moment. For over a decade, we Iranians watched Western countries, Arab regimes, and their Israeli enablers stand by as our economy was deliberately crushed under the weight of America’s illegal sanctions and maximum pressure campaign. We watched them eagerly comply with policies designed to destroy our nation, shatter our lives, crush our dreams, bankrupt our businesses, rot our infrastructure, devalue our currency, and cut us off from normal trade and economic relations with the world. We watched European leaders pathetically nod in satisfaction and offer pathetic lip service as Trump declared the JCPOA a “bad deal,” using it as cover for the most brutal campaign against our people—fully aware that scrapping the deal was nothing more than his sick, twisted obsession with erasing his predecessor’s legacy. We watched U.S. officials and their Israel lobby handlers proudly parade before Congress, armed with figures and statistics, boasting how their vicious policies had tanked our currency, spiked unemployment, sent inflation soaring, and inflicted trillions of dollars in damage on our already strained economy. We watched them cheer these results and laugh at the shattered lives of millions of human beings. We watched them dutifully support the first Trump administration’s sadistic policies—even during the COVID pandemic—when his criminal Secretary of State moved heaven and earth to block Iran from securing even a meager $5 billion IMF loan, while their own governments freely spent hundreds of billions to protect their populations from the same virus. We watched them shamelessly endorse Israel’s attacks on our territory under the obscene slogan “Israel has the right to defend itself,” while branding Iran’s legitimate self-defense as “recklessness” and demanding that our government refrain from “escalation.” We watched them applaud the assassination of our war veterans and heroes, our scientists, and our brightest minds - all in the name of “non-proliferation” - while they kept their mouths tightly shut about Israel’s nuclear arsenal and expansionist agenda. We watched them, openly or in private, urging more pressure, more destruction, more assassinations, and more war. All of it justified by the ludicrous and baseless claim that Iran seeks nuclear weapons—a lie they knew was false. They were fully aware that the enrichment levels and constraints Iran had accepted under the JCPOA, and during subsequent negotiations for a new deal, made militarization impossible. They invented excuse after excuse to engineer our destruction, and they laughed while ensuring the pain was ours alone. But things have changed. Iran will no longer stand by and watch its own destruction while others nod, cheer and laugh. They will not be laughing anymore. This time, we will not be the only ones who feel pain. We will no longer tolerate unilateral sanctions and destruction. We may die standing—but this time, we will all be in same boat.

Something really nice happened to us last week Thursday on our way from jaji to our various unit, it was a convoy movement of almost 20 buses and enough escorts , a man noticed that one of our bus was making a cracking sound around the front tire and he took it upon himself to follow us till we get to lokoja town cause it’s late already and there’s no place we could get a mechanic ,but this God sent stopped us and asked us to park in front of a bank and tell us that he’s been following us from Abaji and he noticed that our crankshaft is bad ,went straight to the ATM to withdrew money , called his mechanic to fix our vehicle for us,get us cabin biscuits and bread to eat that night , what he did that really moved us all was him thanking us of for service …. Omo at that moment I felt proud of putting on this uniform that at last somebody finally knows our worth and what we’ve sacrificed…. I pray you see this sir, These are my prayers for you… You’ll never lack any good thing in this life , wherever your mates are struggling God will it make easy for you, untimely death will never be your portion sir , your children will succeed in your presence sir , you won’t have any reason to cry over them … that night you might think it’s only we that’s inside that bus you fed but it’s actually the whole NA/Armed forces you feed sir…. I have read about the court-ordered detention of an individual known as B-Lord, and I must say this clearly that no one should celebrate the incarceration of any person under the color of law. I have reached out to my astute rights lawyer, Marshal D F Abubakar, urging him to disengage from the process. We must all agree that sending B-Lord to prison is not a victory for legal brilliance or advocacy. Rather, it risks emboldening a system of oppression that weaponizes the law against citizens. Justice must never be reduced to punishment for its own sake. I will work to ensure this case is discontinued and B-Lord is released without further delay.

I have postponed my trip to Iperu, Ogun State. My first duty at this moment is to stand with the people of Plateau. I will be in Jos to commiserate with families who have lost loved ones and to reaffirm that those who seek to spread fear will not prevail. We will continue to strengthen our security response and ensure that justice is done. From Plateau, I will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday, and then continue with scheduled engagements in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa focused on infrastructure, trade, and economic growth.
