Namibia has made it clear! Starlink must have local investors to operate in Namibia! It's not about Elon Musk.
Starlink cannot operate unless it follows local ownership laws.
The government rejected the licence because the company is 100% foreign-owned, while the law requires at least 51% local ownership in telecom businesses.
And here’s the key point… this is not about Elon Musk personally. It’s part of a broader policy to ensure locals benefit and maintain control in critical sectors.
So if Starlink wants in, it must partner locally or restructure ownership.
