This could cut costs, improve profitability for Goto expand services like digital banking. My take: $GOTO current market Cap is $3.7B. The On-Demand Services (ODS) segment, which includes both Mobility and Delivery, reported net revenue of approximately $192m for Q3 Or estimated around $700-$720m for FY2025. Q3 was 10% YoY declined from 13-15%. Goto ODS is NOT GAAP profitable. Or estimated around Negative $60-$90m for FY2025. On-demand is around 70-75% of $Goto Revenue. Goto been cutting back on promo/opex to be breakeven, but still struggling. So with current mutliple for 10% YoY growth and still losing money, this would be around $1B or less with decelerated growth. But Goto is most likely asking for $2-$2.5B or 54-67% of its public market cap. Hmm, this sounds like, only Mobility/Delivery will be ported over with a favorable deal for $GRAB. As $GOTO feels more comfortable operating as loan shark after stealing money from poor children This could mean more regulation on promo, where companies cannot price war extensively if no deal. Currently $SE Is doing the most aggressive at price war in Indonesia(Food delivery), led to driver protests over low wages, job insecurity, and "harmful competition," $SE is likely to be clapped from Indo regulators. GrabUnlimited is a subscription service, so it is not exactly promo, like u get discounts as a paid member. Typically new users get a free month trial like $UBER One. Alright, that is.
