GBM is the Win-Win auction system where bidders make money when they are outbid.
GBM is an auction system where bidders earn when they get outbid.
It has generated over 200 million dollars in bidding volume and paid more than 6 million dollars directly to participants.
Here is how it works in practice.
Every bid is fully funded onchain. When someone places a higher bid, the previous bidder receives 100 percent of their original bid back. On top of that, they receive a predefined incentive reward. The reward amount is visible before confirming the bid.
Instead of risking capital with no return, participants have a reason to stay active. Each bid strengthens competition. More competition drives stronger price discovery while stronger price discovery pushes final sale prices higher.
If you remain the highest bidder when the auction ends and the seller accepts the final bid, you win the asset.
If you are outbid, you still earn.
This structure has helped projects increase engagement, extend bidding wars, and lift hammer prices compared to traditional auction formats.
