@mattforney Current national average is $4.16. That’s national average. Some higher, some lower. According to the AAA, the only state who is above $6.00 (on average) is California. Obviously they are higher. But gas prices have jumped 10¢ in a week, 71¢ in a month, 92¢ since last year.
@mattforney Gas is well up over $4 in a few states, plenty of my friends have also been sent overseas. Boots don’t have to be literally on the ground for troops to get sent overseas, and clearly they are if our “objectives” have been met.
We didn't get a forever war.
You weren't drafted to die for Israel.
Gas didn't go to $6 a gallon.
We didn't put boots on the ground.
We didn't get a flood of refugees.
None of your predictions came true.
And yet none of you will admit you were wrong.
@ConnManATL@LeeWick76@Rykeriscool@KourraVT Except, in order for there to be a civil war, they’d need to secede from the union. In doing so, they would lose their access to the U.S. Military & its funding. So idk about all of that. My money would be on the civilians & the U.S. military over the South. Again.
@LeeWick76@Rykeriscool@KourraVT "Regionally, Northeasterners stand out as the least likely to own guns: 16% of adults who live in the Northeast say they own a gun, about half the share who say this in the South (36%), Midwest (32%) and West (31%)." pewresearch.org/social-trends/…)%20and%20West%20(31%25).
why is there actually, legitimately, discourse around reading speed right now “8 hours to read a book is slow” “you should be able to read a book in 3-5 hours”
bro we are in a literacy CRISIS, i do not care how fast or slow you read a book, just pick one up and read it
@WhiteHouse Historic moment!💪
President Trump showing up in person to defend the true meaning of American citizenship. No more anchor babies exploiting the system. America First!🇺🇲 #MAGA
@saddysays@noraall77316734@OT5Dailys So an assumption infers that he’s still alive and battling addiction. Unfortunately, he has passed away, and while he may not have successful won his battle with addiction, he did win the battle of no longer suffering.
Niall Horan on Liam Payne’s passing:
"It was incredibly sad for everyone, for the family, for us, for the fans around the world. He was sucked into a spiral that no one could ever imagine, and for this I feel only a great emptiness. I'll stop here."

@noraall77316734@OT5Dailys That being said, I’d say the hate definitely did play a role in his mental health spiral. Had the circumstances played out differently, he’d been home, in rehab, etc. You are right that things may have ended differently.
4. No, I can’t say I’d respond to hate well.
4/4
@noraall77316734@OT5Dailys There’s less guilt. You’re not hurting anyone/letting them down if they aren’t there to see it. It happens quite often.
3. I do believe he was having an episode during his relapse, which does not help. It is terribly tragic that the two coincided.
3/4
@noraall77316734@OT5Dailys I can answer some of these questions for you, as the family member of a long time addict.
1. Being clean for short bouts of time isn’t easy, but it’s doable, especially if the addict is aware of a payoff following that period of being clean. That’s not say it isn’t earned or 1/4
@noraall77316734@OT5Dailys And I’m sorry to tell you this, but a single act of kindness likely would NOT have changed this course. Ultimately, tragically he was caught in a battle he was not going to win. All we can do is educate others, support, encourage change, and share his story.
@noraall77316734@OT5Dailys Niall is not a doctor or a therapist, he was his friend. Being the friend of an addict is HARD. It’s a constant battle of wanting to help, knowing you can’t, wanting to offer support, but not wanting to be caught in the crosshairs. We shouldn’t speculate on their friendship.
@Joseph557685691@actingliketommy@Shilohmarx@GovWhitmer Fun fact Michigan has been electing opposite of whatever party is in power federally. It’ll be interesting to see what happens this time. Granholm won under Bush, Snyder under Obama, Whitmer under Trump. We could end up Red as governor and Blue for the presidency.
@Joseph557685691@actingliketommy@Shilohmarx@GovWhitmer Michigan in the last decade has become a true swing state, flipping back and forth every election cycle. In presidential elections, since 2012: D - 12, R - 16, D - 20, R - 24. Gubernatorial is usually the same deal: 83 - D, 91 - R, 03 - D, 11 - R, 19 - D.
