Interesting question asked on reddit. If you allow all the glitches for major skips, how many bosses are actually required to clear every game? I'm not up to date on speedruns so I figured I'd help by asking here. (they didn't ask about DeS but might as well include it...)

ELDEN RING 2 Players 1 Controller 165 Bosses Randomizer 0 DEATHS. It took @puppery_ and me ONE attempt to beat this challenge. I can't believe we actually pulled it off!! I was blessed with such a talented parkour extraordinaire holding the other side of the controller 😌

And I was literally moments away from death 17 hours in at 154 bosses, but we made it work! These runs are so much fun, permadeath brings an insane amount of adrenaline at points. RUNE LEVEL 1 NEXT!

Remember when I did all 165 bosses regionlocked randomizer with no deaths? WELL I JUST DID IT AGAIN BUT WITH ONLY +0 WEAPONS, NO UPGRADING. CHALLENGE RUN MACHINE. Definitely retired from speedruns as it took 20 hours though 🥲...

@KarlGerm No upgrades next 🫡

@illusorywall Your previous comment is correct. Some ladders have a weird gap between their top part and the ground which causes the character to fall slightly. It makes moveswapping off the ladder climb animation impossible on some ladders while others may work just fine!

I feel like this is the sort of arcane knowledge that speedrunners probably already know about, but no one else in the community does. 😅 (you ever see this @catalystz_ ?)
