We would sit together on our fence
and run away from dogs
and there would be no pretense.
We would share a bowl of Meow Mix
and poop it on the lawn
and I'd give you sandpaper licks.
Yes, if I were a cat.
We'd share a lovely evening together
watch a movie, maybe Look Who's Talking 2,
and catch some birds (I'd get the feathers).
