Heh....... The family of Adam Toledo, the armed, a 13-year-old apprentice gang member shot by CPD in 2021 has filed a motion to drop their "wrongful death" lawsuit. Toledo's family deserves nothing.

Residents confronting CPD is not new, but we should expect instances such as this to occur more frequently. These residents are merely following the example of the mobs who pursued and harassed federal agents enforcing immigration law. As we know, residents tormenting ICE was all encouraged by @ChicagosMayor and @JBPritzker.

Yesterday, CPD was involved in a foot chase; as they were trying to arrest the suspect, a group of people surrounded them and tried to keep them from arresting the suspect.

SB 3138 - Sen. Feigenholtz's mental health bill passed in the Illinois Senate yesterday...with ZERO floor debate. Illinois is actively hunting kids for wicked agendas. The fittest families will survive. Godspeed, Illinois. Contact your state house reps to demand NO vote.
Awake Illinois@Awake_IL

Illinois is all in on trafficking your kids into the trans pipeline, the pharmaceutical pipeline, the planned parenthood pipeline in the guise of “mental health” programming. This time it’s another woke woman from the north shore: Senator Feigenholtz believes government can address mental health while pumping out illiterate kids in K-12 schools. Mmmm k. Parents, know your rights. awakeIL.com/forms

While @giannoulias has raked in a staggering amount of money, it's no substitute for staking out firm policy positions. Where does Mr. Giannoulias stand on the issues? No one really knows. We'd like to hear Giannoulias' positions on ShotSpotter, the CTU's May Day protest, and whether Illinois should opt in to Trump's Educational Choice for Children Act. Image credit: @FrankCalabrese.

Brandon Johnson's response to accusations he is slow walking the search for a replacement for ShotSpotter: "You can't deny the fact our investment in violence interrupters (CVI), our investment in our detectives bureau, our investment youth employment, our investment in youth employment, our investment to create more resources for families who are experiencing domestic violence, our investment in mental health care." In other words, Johnson has no plans to replace ShotSpotter.

This is how a real prosecutor manages the SA's office. Under Eileen O'Neill Burke, detainment is the rule for violent offenders. To address the domestic abuse crisis, O'Neill Burke established a Special Victims Bureau to concentrate on domestic violence crimes. Now, O'Neill Burke has created a task force to blunt the out-of-control crime on the CTA. The result 15 months in office? Violent crime in Chicago is down 22 percent.

CORE leadership at CTU is proposing two changes to its constitution. One change is significantly increasing dues for veteran educators, but the increases would be based on salary. The second change would severely limit the rights of members by placing limitations on members seeking to use the court system to settle disputes with the union.

Brandon Johnson today on his administration's transparency regarding his Reparations Task Force: "I'm a black man in America calling for the reparations of black people!" Johnson then asserted the restaurant industry is tied to slavery.

It appears as if the CTU is running out of members' money. CORE's solution to a depleted treasury is to raise dues again. If this proposal passes tonight, dues will increase for the second time in six months. Higher dues, less service. Isn't Marxism just wonderful?

Try explaining your support for "working people" to the 5,200 full-service restaurant workers who lost their jobs after One Fair Wage was enacted. They are now unemployed. Then try explaining your "support" for businesses to the owners of 100 restaurants who closed their business due to One Fair Wage. They are now former business owners.

The Chicago City Council failed to override @ChicagosMayor's veto of a measure to amend a 2023 ordinance eliminating the tipped minimum wage. Once again, progressive aldermen betrayed restaurants and restaurant workers. The result of this vote is more restaurant closures and more hospitality workers laid off.
