Once again asking for support for our girls. Most of them don't have access to education after secondary school because they're unable to afford the commute to Quetta. 3000 rupees goes a long way for them. Please donate and share if you can!
Maryam J@maryammjamali

Hello all, this is your monthly reminder that @madatcommunity functions with your help. Your donations from rupees 200 to 10,000 help the people of Balochistan build climate change resilience. These donations go towards education, healthcare, and housing. Donations details below:

thebeliever.net/the-sentence-i… I wanna link to Garielle Lutz’s astonishing essay ‘The Sentence is a Lonely Place’, simply because she actually understands that beauty in writing is dependent on its musicality, on its rhythms and sounds and details, rather than its self-adoring register.

in a world where everything feels like a sharp sting, olivia laing's prose pierces through the veneer of anguish with her absolute focus on the stilling yet fleeting moments of life

not to mention, the concept of a lobotomy to cure mental illness was pioneered by antónio egas moniz, who was later awarded the nobel prize in physiology/medicine and afterwards, the procedure was modified by walter jackson freeman so it could be performed wo any anesthesia
shine ♀@ladymysticalwmn

Lobotomy was first performed on a woman in 1936 then in the 40s & 50s it was performed on women labeled as "hysterical" and not conforming to gender roles in order to make them "docile". It was even performed on girl children. Men saw it as a way to silence & oppress female class
