The shift in drug of choice is likely to blame.. Ngas was on weed and liquor back then. Weed is a paranoia drug.. Pills was a white people drug. Today ngas popping Zanax (a drug that makes you lose all paranoia).. So NOTHING becomes a bad idea. Guns + Xanax = horrible decisions
