@animbillasblog but if he grew up to be verbal - then that implies no cognitive delays = different cause for not speaking. my brother is non-verbal so i can get kinda protective over the term since he can get compared to ppl with selective mutism or non-speaking with other ways to communicate

@animbillasblog it's tricky, esp if young will in your hc doesn't communicate in any form - which is what in uk differentiates non-verbal, when you struggle with using not just words but also signs, gestures, etc.
