you don’t have to get formal training or a degree of any kind. study can be self-study (read!). practice can be making lots of drafts. experience can involve sending your work out to galleries/publishers or sharing it online. i just mean actually doing the work. not fantasizing.

I returned to drawing at 30, after eight years of art block. I'm starting practically from zero, I have unmedicated ADHD and awful adult worries. And watching very young professionals can be REALLY painful. But I kick myself in the ass for even thinking about quitting.
