@magdalenepop to be fair i have been told by many people that I read "freakishly fast" and there's "something horribly wrong with you", but even 200wpm can get you through a shorter novel in just over 5 hours

@magdalenepop i mean what's your reading speed? the average novel is around 100k words, so if you read at 400wpm yeah 3-5 hours is probably your average. I read at around 500wpm without skimming, even when I'm really slowing down to absorb the text I get through most books in 3 hours

i think everyone is overestimating how long it takes to read a book. some books do be long but your average book takes like 3-5 hours in total.
