Today we became "patent pending"! After months of building, we filed a patent application with IMPI (Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial) for: "Method and system for dynamic RSS feed generation from smart contract metadata on blockchain networks for distribution of audio content to traditional podcast platforms" What does that mean in plain English? We built a system where podcast RSS feeds — the backbone of every show on Spotify and Apple Podcasts and YouTube — are generated directly from smart contracts on Base blockchain. No centralized database. No platform middleman. The metadata lives on-chain, immutably, owned by the creator. The heart of the patent is the GUID Mapper: a bridge between the traditional episode identifier that Spotify and Apple use, and the on-chain smart contract address. This enables listeners to engage with any episode they hear on any platform — rate it, comment, share, answer quizzes — and earn $DIXO rewards verified on-chain. We started one of the world's first Spanish-language podcast networks in 2005. Twenty years later+, we filed the first patent for on-chain podcast infrastructure. This is what it looks like when two decades of audio industry experience meets Web3. Patent pending. Priority date: March 17, 2026.

Normal attendance of a meetup in Mexico City 🇲🇽☀️ Around 40-50% of the total registrations. Attendance of a meetup in Mexico City when it rains🇲🇽🌧️ Around 20% Why is that? 🤔

@CepnikMaciej We are not used to rain. In fact when raining everything stops. We have no culture or infrastructure that deals with rain

Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface. Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return. The transaction could not be moved forward without the user explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox. The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices. However, while the user was able to proceed with the swap, the final outcome was clearly far from optimal. Events like this do occur in DeFi, but the scale of this transaction was significantly larger than what is typically seen in the space. We sympathize with the user and will try to make a contact with the user and we will return $600K in fees collected from the transaction. The key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless, allowing users to perform transactions freely, there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users. Our team will be investigating ways to improve these safeguards going forward.

dixo onchain launches tomorrow 🔥 on @base 🟦

If you’ve spent any time (and money) around "podcast monetization" advices, you’ve seen the ritual: "Be consistent". "Build community". "Start a newsletter". "Keep going". "Sponsors will come once you hit a gazillion downloads". By now we know a lot of that advice is b*llshit, because the truth is much simpler than the gurus want to admit: podcast engagement creates value, but most platforms still treat it like a favor. They want listeners to subscribe. Rate. Share. Comment. Recommend the show. Make clips. Bring in other listeners. But more than anything, they want people to do the one thing the entire business depends on: listen. Actually listen. Stay with the episode. Follow the story. Make it to the end. Come back for the next one. That attention is not passive. That attention is the business. And for years, the entire industry has acted like that value should keep showing up for free. That’s the old deal. DIXO On Chain is built on a totally different deal: On DIXO, listening is not treated like a free resource platforms gets to harvest forever. Audience participation STOPS being a favor and starts carrying real value: Not just sharing. Not just rating. Not just commenting. LISTENING. And for podcasters, this is not some migration ultimatum. You can host on DIXO or import your existing RSS feed, while your show still goes out to Spotify, Apple, YouTube, and everywhere else it should. That’s the part I care about: Not another lecture about “building community”. Not another workshop about funnels. Not another fantasy about one day being rescued by sponsors. A better deal: One where podcasters are not the only ones carrying the weight. One where audiences are not treated like free labor. One where listening is finally recognized as the value it always had. Podcasting already won culturally. What’s behind — embarrassingly behind — is the business model. Podcasting does not need more advice. It needs a better deal. That’s what we’ve been building with DIXO On Chain. And that’s why we’re opening it tomorrow. Starting tomorrow, podcasters can host on DIXO or import an existing RSS feed and start testing the platform with us. And because this is pre-launch, we’re giving the first podcasters who join us a $2 bonus in ETH to help them get set up. Tomorrow: hosting + RSS imports. Next week: Audiobooks. The future of audio is here: Only on Dixo On Chain.
