The county assault weapons ban did NOT stop the Highland Park shooting. And the Supreme Court refused to hear a challenge against the ban, so SCOTUS can’t be blamed either.

Red flag gun laws and some of the most strict gun control laws in the country did NOT prevent the Highland Park shooting because they already had them on the books. Nor do these strict gun control laws prevent shootings and murder in Chicago every single weekend. 1/4

The woman who had the child says a Highland Park police officer picked the child up from her home and is taking him to hospital to try to reunite with family. @cbschicago
