German boys and their coach 😭😭😭

Another mind-blowing Wijk coming to an end. Congrats to Nodirbek - very impressive indeed! Javokhir kept establishing himself among the very top. Vincent managed to win so many games after a poor start - a quality which only few have. Jorden - probably the most exciting games throughout the event. So many ideas, such a freshness! Yagiz, great debut. At times it felt like young Kasparov. Many records to break for the boy with a clear World Champion potential and ambitions. Turkey to emerge as chess super power within couple of years. Matthias proved he is worthy Candidate and belongs to 2700+ club. Andy makes to the Masters next year. Excited to see another young star emerging. Just few months ago he needed a wild card to play the Grand Swiss - and now one can fairly expect him to clinch 2700 soon. Vasyl - no words. Genius. He did not qualify at the end of the day, but I'd say everyone would be happy to see him in the Masters next year. Bibissara - very formidable play. Kept her cool and performed at 2600+ in such a company. And of course, many other heroes at this unique event. That was exceptional. That was Wijk.

For three straight years, Nodirbek Abdusattorov was right there on top going into the final weekend. Three times, the title slipped through his fingers. This year, he came back and finished the story. From heartbreak to redemption — @NodirbekGM is your 2026 Tata Steel Chess Champion♟️💙 #TataSteelChess #TataSteelMasters
