@JoshuaZana @Maxpain144 It’s barely a feat…70 years after the time period they’re placing Zuko in for scale. In young Zuko’s time, lightning bending was a high-level firebending skill that wasn’t taught to most benders. In Mako’s time it’s been commodified but that doesn’t make it less dangerous.

Removing all feats related to that fight, Azula’s intelligence & skill is more of a factor but her power output drops - so she has less of a chance against Korra.

@itfireio12 @GrunnaXrp And she’s buffed by the comet, which is essentially her peak firepower output capability. The point is that she’s at a peak of raw power & she ends up losing the fight. Against Korra, who dwarfs those two in power, she does not stand as much of a chance as people seem to think.

@genius_eu @GrunnaXrp Agreed - that’s also my point in general, Korra is way more capable than most ATLA fans will give credit for & they’re upscaling Azula like she can contend with a fully realized Avatar packing 4 elements of bending along with Energy & bending sub-specialties.

@gauntSEN @GrunnaXrp Well yeah, that was kind of the point of their fight. He went on the offense a number of times but all he really succeeded in doing was getting her off-balance. He also didn’t have the foresight to realize Azula would 100% break Agni Kai rules to try to zap Katara.

@MageBones @calebsmxlti That process of melting it down & cooling it to remove impurities while forcing it to retain only one shape in the end could theoretically make it unbeatable by the current understanding of the principals of Metalbending, but it may be possible for a sufficiently skilled bender.

@MageBones @calebsmxlti When they talk about being unable to bend Platinum because it’s “Pure” it’s because they isolated *only* Platinum by melting it down & cooling it over & over to make it a rigid refined metal plate, screw, sword, etc.
