Today we are remembering Firefighter Mike Scott who we lost five years ago today. We all miss him so much and carry him with us on every call - his name sitting alongside Firefighter Lowe's on our helmets. Rest peacefully Mike.

Central York Fire has been on scene at 185 Deerfield Road, a building under construction to train all our firefighters with our brand new highrise firefighting equipment and program.  Special thanks to Marc Bohemier, Operations Manager of KCL Group for being such a great community partner in allowing us to conduct such important training.

Today was our Grade 12 Co-op student’s last day! Alanna has made a big impression on us. She brings a positive energy everywhere she goes, which has led to her gain many new friends here. We had so much fun showing her the ropes, and can’t wait to see her back!
