@ArchaeoNomad @Andrew007Uk And more power to you for these principles....always a very good experience with Immersive - thank you!

“How do you plan to grow exponentially if you’re making it hard for curators to join?”
This is the question investors ask us most. The logic is simple: solve for quantity, scale the supply, and the rest follows.
But in the experience economy, mass-scaling is a race to the bottom.
Go to any major travel platform today and search for a "Taj Mahal Tour." You’ll find 130+ options. They look the same. They sound the same. Half are mediocre; the other half are guesswork.
This isn’t "choice." It’s chaos. It’s traveler friction. It’s doomscrolling for culture.
At @immersivetrails , we are bringing method to the madness.
We don't want everyone. We want the experts. The historians. The community leaders. The craftspeople with deep-rooted local connections.
Our entry barrier is our biggest strength. By optimizing for quality over quantity:
-We remove the guesswork for the traveler.
-We eliminate the "paradox of choice."
-We ensure every single experience is, well, immersive.
We know this means we grow differently than the giants. But we’d rather build a sustainable, high-integrity ecosystem than chase exponential growth at the expense of the very thing we’re selling: The Experience.
Quality isn't a bottleneck. It’s the destination.

@ArchaeoNomad @Andrew007Uk Been years since I ventured into the Sunderbans, do you have a recommended operator...to avoid crowds and disco boats?
English

Late last month, Chelsea and I spent 2 days inside the #Suderbans venturing through its mangrove forests and tidal rivers and creeks. Although there were no trace of tigers, there were some amazing birds on view, along with the local culture, food and lifestyle so interconnected with the ebb and flow of the tides!

@ArchaeoNomad @Andrew007Uk @rangan_datta Brilliant - what a cracking match to watch live at Eden Gardens....
English

Earlier this month, I took my brother in law to a crunch T20 World Cup #cricket match between #India and #WestIndies at Eden Gardens. For someone who has grown up with #baseball, a cricket match, with its complex rules was something that blew his mind, and the atmosphere at Eden Gardens was electric that day! The best introduction to cricket possible!

This is the kind of journalism I would like to see. Travel to the rural areas of our country and unearth stories of grassroot sports.
Showcasing grit, determination and resilience of people who can barely manage to earn a living.

Though not obvious to some this little corner of Kolkata is a true oasis to me. A place that has been created for sport - especially rugby - and a safe haven for children to be children especially around Christmas.
Name this field.

I love this, especially that it shows our very own Crow Field on the Maidan.

@Andrew007Uk @UKinKolkata @future_hope @GerardBLyons When Holi Lite goes a bit heavy....hahaha....Happy Holi!
English

My meeting with the former @UKinKolkata deputy of 2003 vintage @chirpycrow at @future_hope School did not quite go to plan. Even CEO Sujata Sen got in on the action. But objective to show @GerardBLyons a bit of Kolkata’s colour fulfilled.
