@LaurieFleming The default has been 1940 since M7! But Viya 3.5 was caught in the last century when the calendar turned.

@cjdinger Yearcutoff has just bitten me in the arse. All SAS/DI jobs have etls_starttime set to %sysfunc(datetime(), datetime.) instead of datetime19. So I woke up this morning to every one of our ETL jobs thinking it was 1926. Fortunately only one failed… 😢

I asked SAS Viya copilot to interpret the meaning of a histogram and it gave an error so it appears my job is safe (for now) #SASInnovate

@LaurieFleming I don't know why -- if that's an S3 service-side check. When I have situations like this I try to refresh the token just-in-time rather than use an hourly cron job.

@cjdinger proc s3 problem: my token expires and is refreshed every hour on the hour. That would be a tiny problem, but if an s3 call spans the hour, as it did at 3pm today, it checks the timestamp on termination and throws an error. Do you know why?

@hcksqtjimduggan I'm not familiar with ".XLSL" extension -- it's not something you can save natively in Excel, if that's the application that your using. How was this created? cc @SAS_Cares

Niche tweet but how has no one figured out a way to take a .xlsl file and have it automatically convert to a SAS data set without have to manually input stats code

@SAS_Cares @cjdinger In days gone by, I would’ve put sort or sql as my most-used procedures. These days it’s http. We’re getting parquet and JSON files from one of our cloud hosts, and one big table will have hundreds of thousands of files. 1 call per file, at around 3/second…

SASsy question for any SAS user in the house: Is there any fix for the issue with the import/export wizard for Excel/ACCESS e-files in SAS 9.4 64-bit aside from using PROC IMPORT/EXPORT? Any insights you can provide would be highly appreciated. #EpiTwitter #StatsTwitter

@RobertAllison__ Hey Robert, cookie consent is standard practice for most websites. It's required by law in some regions, and is just best practice everywhere else. At SAS, cookies are mainly used for functional behavior and journey tracking.

Kind of annoying - SAS's web pages (such as communities.sas.com and blogs.sas.com) have started making you click to "accept cookies". I wonder what cookies they're keeping on us? Were they keeping cookies before? smdh...

@kierriebeentjie Not sure which output you're referencing (Data, HTML, Listing, Log). For Listing or Log, try adding OPTIONS PS=MAX and/or OPTIONS LS=MAX to your code. As @SAS_Cares recommends, the SAS community can help with advice too: communities.sas.com.

@SAS_Cares Putting something into production using a feature I’ve only used for quick-and-dirty code before. I’ve got a DI transformation which writes out to a number of datasets, but doesn’t decide until near the end which one it needs. Solution? _last_. First time in 45 years…
