@SpotterBrett Not a fan of them either, but I get it though the reason for them. They are to help with the TBones in the intersection. 218 is full of them from Mint Hill to Polkton

Whoever put all these roundabouts and four way stops on the country roads in North Carolina deserves a bag of coal from Santa.

@_youre_annoying @DanielKriete4 If we move from the current I’m with Daniel just give the full season back. Look at F1 they had an amazing points race. But on the other hand Indy car had a run away. Both are fine

@DanielKriete4 The results weren’t bad and individual races were exciting for a regional sport. But as popularity grew nationally, society moved into a sportscenter age that wanted clips and narratives to carry the excitement year round.

@DanielKriete4 Hey man I think Chris is targeting people of my age. I’m 35 and absolutely loved the playoffs. I do prefer full season over 10 race playoffs. I don’t like the idea of a playoff format other than the current. @C_Rice1

Name/rename the championship trophy in the Truck series after the Biff. Greg Biffle Trophy, Biffle Cup, anything like that.

The dinosaurs on channel 90 aren’t going to apologize until they receive their talking points to do so from the NASCAR Ministry of Propaganda—Oh I mean NASCAR communications. My bad comrade.
Denny Hamlin@dennyhamlin

@LarryMac28 @BradGillie @SiriusXMNASCAR @Team_FRM I believe it was “how dare them for trying to come in and change the sport. 23XI hasn’t been around long enough and FRM wasn’t good enough”. Also how about “ I dont know what their problem is, 13 other teams signed it”. Just to name a few examples.

@whatsundersteer Not sure I agree with everything you said but I do agree with some. Now you do need to give them credit because NASCAR over the last decade did begin running an illegal monopoly that they proved. Now how is this a win for fans? It’s not. Doesn’t change on track product at all

@jeff_gluck I’m not a fan of evergreen charters unless they keep the clause that nascar can revoke to charter of the lowest performing teams for 3 seasons. This was about money and power nothing for fans.

I’m just sitting here realizing I don’t really have a sense of what you all think about the settlement. I know how I feel about it, but what about you? How are you feeling about the state of NASCAR at this moment?

Big shoutout to @jeff_gluck and @Jordan_Bianchi for the coverage. I’ve been mad at y’all before and probably will be again (soon), but your coverage of this trial has been nothing short of excellent. Great job. And special shoutout to @SMMcMinimee for the legal analysis. The NASCAR community needed someone who knows about the law.

@dennyhamlin Well congrats. I was a doubter and questioned the whole thing, but the sanctions on the tracks really proving your point.

@aidan_m2988 @Clabel_ I don’t feel their valuation is realistic. Is why I asked. The economist used was F1 comparison to get his multiplier and we all know F1 and NASCAR are on two completely different paths right now

@clemon48 Do you think Rick Hendrick and Jeff Gordon are so financially illiterate that they would unnecessarily dig themselves in a 20 million hole in 5 years?

In the last decade, *the most successful and well established NASCAR team ever* lost $20+ million dollars, hasn't made a profit in 10 years, and is propped up with the profits of other businesses. But yeah there isn't a single problem with the economic state of this sport.
Kelly Crandall@KellyCrandall

Jeffrey Kessler reviewed letters Roger Penske, Rick Hendrick, Jack Roush, and Joe Gibbs sent to Jim France expressing concerns about the sport's finances. In his letter. Hendrick said his team had won two of the last five championships and lost $20 million.

My take on it is that RC was probably a close second to Heather Gibbs in the most compelling witnesses category #NASCOURT. But he also just held his own in the most Richard Childress way possible. For example, when Christopher Yates put up his prior declaration to have RC affirm things but took it down without addressing the last two sentences that specifically addressed permanent charters and long-term equity value, RC made him put it back up so he could read those two sentences and stress the importance of them. He also said that his declaration came to him, having been written by the attorneys, but he personally changed it to add those two specific sentences.
Jeff Gluck@jeff_gluck

Just wrapped up with 45 minutes of testimony from Richard Childress. I’m not sure how to describe it in one tweet but it was classic. He certainly spoke his mind about permanent charters and made his opinion about the state of the NASCAR business clear. Up next: Jim France.
