Just the purest thing you'll see today.
At a school gate in Tianshui, Gansu, traffic officer Song Weilin was doing his usual thing—keeping the kids safe as they crossed the road.
Then this happened: little ones running up to him one by one, throwing their arms wide for big hugs and high-fives, giggling the whole time. He’s all smiles, bending down to meet them at eye level like it’s the best part of his day.
A passing driver caught the moment and now the whole internet is smiling. Turns out police officer Song has been guarding this school crossing for years. No wonder the kids treat him like a rockstar — he’s been keeping them safe every single day, rain or shine.
From kindergarten, Chinese kids are taught: “If you’re in trouble, look for PLA soldiers or police — they’re here to protect you.”
We call the PLA “our most beloved ones.” Soldiers and veterans are genuinely respected for guarding the country and the people.

🚨🇨🇳🇹🇼 BREAKING: KMT Chairperson Cheng Li-wen is calling for young people from both mainland China and taiwan to join forces and understand each other.
"For the sake of both sides of the Taiwan Strait, for regional stability, and for the well-being of the next generation, we must firmly choose the path of peace."

For Taiwan, the coming week is of critical importance—a moment that history will surely record.
Kuomintang (KMT) Chairwoman Cheng Li-wen is scheduled to visit mainland China from April 7 to April 12. This marks the first visit by a KMT chairperson in a decade (a period during which the geopolitical landscape has shifted dramatically); it is anticipated that CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping will personally receive Cheng Li-wen for a "Xi-Cheng Summit."
Analysts view Cheng Li-wen's visit as an opportunity for the KMT—currently facing a host of domestic and international challenges—to turn the tide of the political battleground. If the "peace card" she plays gains traction, it could not only neutralize the "anti-China card" frequently deployed by the Green Camp but also provide an opportunity to appeal to swing voters and secure more favorable policies from the mainland toward Taiwan.
Given the reality that the United States no longer possesses the capacity to guarantee Taiwan's security—particularly in light of Trump's mercurial temperament and his penchant for political deal-making—Washington appears to be accelerating both the extraction of arms sales revenue from Taiwan and the transfer of Taiwan's advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology and talent. The timing of Cheng Li-wen's visit to mainland China—occurring just prior to Trump's own visit to Beijing—leaves ample room for speculation and conjecture.
Cheng Li-wen's itinerary—proceeding from Nanjing through Jiangsu and Shanghai, and ultimately arriving in Beijing—is also highly symbolic. Nanjing is home to the mausoleum of the KMT's founder, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and once served as the capital of the Nationalist government. Jiangsu boasts a highly developed private sector economy and is home to a large community of Taiwanese businesspeople and expatriates. Shanghai stands as China's vanguard of openness and its financial hub; finally, Beijing—serving as the most critical and final stop on the tour—will be the focal point for discussions regarding political and peace-related issues.
When your opponent is making a mistake, never interrupt him. Continue to advance your own core agenda.
