OTD in 1958, Elio de Angelis was born. The #Lotus legend who, on his day, could out drive Ayrton Senna. The Italian secured three pole positions and two grand prix victories with Lotus in 1985, finishing the season only five points behind his Brazilian team-mate in the drivers' standings. De Angelis is also owner of one of the coolest helmet designs in #F1 history.

1983 Lombard RAC Rally Car 98 Geoff Warkup and David Howell’s very battered Lada VAZ 2105 1300. The crew would finish the event 49th overall and 3rd in class B9 so recovered well. David Howell Co-driver stated “Damage is the result of hitting a tree in Grizedale.
