MVDee - Max Heath My MVDee this week goes to the Big “Moose”. Max Heath put together a seriously impressive outing in the ruck and around the ground for the @CaseyDemonsFC. 36 hit-outs, 17 disposals and a goal, but more importantly, his presence and competitiveness never dropped, even as the game slipped away. Follow-up work, physicality and a willingness to impact both ends stood out, with a late goal capping off a performance that showed genuine growth. To have 30 touches and 8 marks after a 12 month hiatus is very impressive. Max Heath: Strong presence in the ruck and around the ground, capped off with a forward impact late, continues to build his case. His 36 hit outs over powered Lachie Smiths 11 in a big way, and his ability to get around the ground is good to watch. Tommy Matthews: Relentless pressure and chase-down efforts, one of the few who maintained intensity all game. 🔴 KEY TREND Footscray controlled territory all afternoon (+14 inside 50s, 62–48) and punished Casey’s turnovers, while also dominating possession (+147 disposals), making it extremely difficult for the Demons’ defence to hold up.

His 8 marks is an impressive stat. Tommy Matthews: Another chase-down tackle highlights his speed and defensive intent, brings genuine energy. Numbers don’t do his performance here any justice. 🔴 KEY TREND Territory dominance telling the story — Footscray +12 inside 50s (48–36) and +80 disposals (315–235), repeatedly locking the ball in their forward half and overwhelming Casey’s defence.

Melk had a fairly extensive rub down on the sidelines here and now trying to run off a bit of stiffness on the sidelines. Update, he now has some pretty significant strapping on his right knee.
