Alright so the thing about modeling for the 2025 WR Class is we are typically using production analytics from their college career. It is safe to assume the BEST production is yet to come from each WR broadly speaking who is in the 2025 class. With that said, we can use the current production data they have each achieved to date, and provide modeling around that BUT as you might expect some of these TOP name guys haven't had the 1,500 yard, 10 TD, 3.0 YPRR season yet. Because they have NOT, often times their dominator and YPRR among other metrics are lacking significant substance as a basis. I am early in my modeling so bare with me if I cite inaccurate data. I am still verifying specific data points and may have bad data in front of me.... But for example....lets look at Tetairoa McMillan. Based on the data I am looking at his career YPRR is not very good (2.10). That metric is going to crush his analytical profile in my model. Reminder, career YPRR being the 3rd best predictive metric for college WR success in NFL. As you would imagine with such a weak YPRR, Tet does not grade out as HIGH as we would expect. He finishes with an "Elite Lite" tier and a grade of 85.8 assuming he is drafted with 1st round draft capital. Now going back to the original point, Tet likely going to see his BEST production yet junior season or something close to his sophomore year. IF so his career YPRR will jump to 2.5 area which would give Tet 90.2 grade put him in the "Elite" tier. Bottomline, there are some "production" projections that could help finesse the model to skew it to what we would think could happen his junior year. At the moment the only WR in the 2025 class that grades out as "Elite" tier based on their current career numbers is Emeka Egbuka. His career YPRR is 2.70 which really helps solidify an outstanding analytical profile. Egbuka current overall grade is 91.9 and firmly in the "Elite" tier. IF you have followed my work long enough you know a +2.5 YPRR is pretty darn good and 2.70 inching to +3.00 is borderline the best of the best elite. For now I will share a handful of the best WRs of the 2025 class based on the data I have available. See below. As mentioned these scores are based on the current production of these players college careers. These numbers could change both positively and negatively drastically. In future releases of this modeling, I will finesse the numbers a bit with some assumptive projections for this season, such as Tet boosting his career YPRR from 2.1 to 2.5 which would give him a 90 score and put him in elite tier.
