Sam Houston has a legitimate claim for winning the most difficult baseball State Championship in LHSAA history: • 11-seed, no bye • Swept reigning State Champion West Monroe on the road • Swept second-seeded Barbe on the road, holding them to one run in two games after losing to Barbe twice in the regular season • Beat top-seeded Live Oak in three games after dropping game one, marking the first time Live Oak had lost consecutive games all year • In beating Barbe and West Monroe they eliminated the two teams who had combined for the last five State Championships A difficult (and I’d argue the MOST difficult) road to the State Title, that makes it that much more fulfilling for the Broncos
