For anyone interested in children’s rights and child protection, I would urge you to listen back to Judge Dermot Simms on the RTE radio one ‘this week’ programme. @RTERadio1 His authoritative concern over how @NormaFoleyTD1 and her dept plan to dilute the voice and protections of children in our court system were and are unanswerable.

If @NormaFoleyTD1 does proceed with her voice of the child reforms in childcare cases, legally I will be able to achieve far more for an abusive adult in child care cases than I will for the victim child. Where is the equality and the child protection lens in that? That’s how serious this is.
