When @alessandrodkt came to asking for me to invest in padel courts, i thought “why not? Maybe it will help a community.” Never met him but he kept me up to date by sending me construction progress pics/videos. To my surprise, he’s made it into a real biz and sends me returns weekly. Sunita and I thank you 🙏 !!! Anyone who knows me, knows I am as “Monero First” as you can practically be. I am not on X / Reddit etc all day posting Monero memes etc but rather I am building projects to grow Monero adoption: @monerotopia @MoneroTalk @xmrbazaar @MoneroNodo @xmr_chat @GratuitasXMR @copamonero . And we are running all our businesses off of Monero as much as we can. Having to waste time dealing with bad actors in the community to prevent lies from spreading is unfortunate. This support is appreciated. 🙏 I am not a “Monero maxi” compared to those who don’t want any other privacy crypto projects to be given any attention , or given a chance to demonstrate their tech and arguments to the Monero community. It was maximalism that pushed me away from Bitcoin and it was my pursuit for finding the best digital cash that led me to Monero. In an effort to keep that pursuit alive and so that Monero can continue to be the best, I have been supportive of allowing non Monero projects to be involved in the Conference. The result has been amazing. The MoneroTopia Conference has grown from it, expanding our tent, allowing anyone interested in these tools and in the concept of “opting-out” to be a part. It has also helped us fund the conference without having to ask the Monero community for donations. And as i am sure the @zano_project team would agree, we don’t put projects on a pedestal, we put them in the hot seat. Zano has accepted the challenge and I look forward to collaborating with them and privacy crypto projects like @BasicSwapDEX @firoorg @DarkFiSquad @PirateChain WOW, and maybe soon @tari @zcash Grin etc as we continue to grow the privacy crypto community. This is the way. This is how more people will find their way to Monero and how we will continue to build out the privacy tech we need beyond just “digital cash”. Leave the maximalism to the normie Bitcoiners. Monero should not feel threatened. It is THE king. Sure, keep out the scammers, but err on the side of keeping things open and accessible. 💪💪🚀
