Not every interview goes this deep. Thoughtful questions that cut into what it is I’m trying to do and say about the world and my experiences. I’m grateful for all the research and time you put into this @opensea @vanek_nft.
Excited to share my OpenSea interview with you all! 🧿

The Price of Time
In my younger days I spent many nights at the poker table.
The casino had a nightclub. Men would stumble out, ladies on their arms, all laughing and tipsy.
A stop by the tables, and I'd separate them from their money.
One morning, heading home after long night of winning, it hit me:
The loser at the table that night, was actually me.
My opponents were having fun, I was at work.
I'd leave with the chips. They'd leave with the girls.
I made a pact with myself that day...
To always ask -
Is the *time cost* of this victory, greater than the prize?
Maybe this means doing more of the things you can only do while young...
Saying no to a year of school, and yes to a year of travel.
Saying no to a steady job, yes to a risky start-up.
Or when you're older... and you have even less time - saying no to more work, and yes to your kid who wants to play.
Or going to visit parents, who have even less time than you
Instead of going to a party, when there will always be another.
I encourage you to look at every decision with the mindset that TIME has a PRICE.
Ask yourself, even if something is free - or is making you money -
Is it worth what I will pay for this, with time?

When comparing BAYC to anything, people need to realize that BAYC only raised less than 800 ETH from the BAYC sale.. From that 800 ETH, they created a lore, a roadmap, merch drop, lofi channel, bakc, & mutants.. Founders, actually cared to create something unique that drove the NFT space forward..
When comparing that with someone who raised 25k ETH from moon bird sale.. You wonder where all the $$ has gone? It took them literally 360 days to put an actual roadmap out!

People will act like giving up drinking/bad food, keeping a HARD routine, cutting back on friends/fam and cheap dopamine like games is suffering.
Listen here young man.
TRUE suffering is waking up in your mid 30s-40s and realizing your life/income/self has not grown in the past 10 years.
You will look around and realize your are roughly the same quality and level of person, just in a weaker body that has been beaten by years of stagnation.
TRUE pain is the how you will look back and realize all you have experienced is the same repetitive experiences over and over and over WHILE you stagnated in the same position. Remaining in your comfort zone abusing cheap pleasures.
REGRET will fill you as you watch the few people who DID decide to sacrifice slowly pull EONS ahead of you over time. Living in the house you want, married/dating the girls you want, making money you could only dream of. Looking healthy, happy, fresh. Living a life that is fulfilling and fun AS they age and full of OPTIONS.
You will remember these people being roughly in the same position as you at one point, then look at them living now 10 social classes ahead of you enjoying people and experiences totally off limits to you with respect, power and passion.
The pain you will feel if you ever meet them again. A man whose had the same time as you, the roughly the same IQ/advantages but better than you in every measurable way.
All because they gave up the "okay and comfortable" for the "Great".
You will be mid life and full of regret as you look in the mirror and are just a older version of who you were at 21 with the same options.
As you now are JUST starting, a full decade behind people you once knew...You will experience TRUE pain and you realize that the "comfort zone devil" got his claws in you and slowly sucked away your youth/time/energy...and left you alone/starting from scratch while facing older age burdened by struggle.
That is pain. That is a hard life. It'll come for you if you don't make the hard choices and give up short term pleasure and societal norms and take your life SERIOUSLY.

"Hey, @Apecoin Family, it’s me, American Ape! 🟦🟥 🦍 🚀
It’s been quite a journey, over a decade in the making, searching for the perfect alchemy of partners to bring my worlds to life on a big screen.
The road has been winding, but the destination? Absolutely worth it.
