i’m seeing this conversation about queerness being absent from sinners and how that’s ahistorical for the blues filled rural south and i get it but also.. i’d rather ppl who aren’t a part of certain communities/experiences/identities to not tell those stories.

I hate the way y'all take gentle suggestions as fighting words. "I wish there were queer people in Sinners" does not mean "Ryan Coogler must have gay characters or he's homophobe and we should stone him." see how those are entirely different sentences? irony is, he'd be so chill.
