Banning accounts for parody, satire, or sarcasm directed at politicians is neither logical nor defensible. Political expression, especially criticism, is meant to be uncomfortable. Suppressing it simply because it offends sets a dangerous precedent. Account blocks are justified only when content crosses into incitement of violence, promotion of terrorism, or poses a clear threat to public order or national security. Beyond that threshold, disagreement, even sharp or mocking, remains protected speech. At the same time, I am not a free speech absolutist. If someone is abusive, spreads fake news, or violates the law through their online activity, action should be taken against the specific offence through due process. Just as in real life, if someone breaks the law, you punish them accordingly, but you do not permanently strip them of their right to speak again. Suspending or silencing an entire platform of expression is therefore disproportionate and undermines fundamental freedoms. Supporting such overreach may feel convenient when it targets others, but the same logic will inevitably be used against you. You will not be in power forever, and once this precedent is set, opponents, if they come to power, will return it in kind.

Conspiracy theories sound most convincing when they target someone you already dislike. They don’t need strong evidence, just a willing audience. This entire narrative collapses under basic standards of evidence. It relies on hearsay; phrases like “whispered,” “hushed tones,” and “people told me” are not proof but markers of gossip. In any serious field, such claims require verifiable documents, on-record testimonies, or independent corroboration. None are provided here, only anonymous allegations and personal impressions. The scale of the accusations makes the lack of proof even more glaring. If a sitting PM were involved in such misconduct or blackmail, it would surface through FIRs, court cases, or credible investigative journalism. India’s political ecosystem is highly adversarial; these claims wouldn’t remain “whispers.” The Congress, which leaves no opportunity to corner opponents, would have amplified it since 2002 if there were even a shred of credible evidence. The absence of that is telling. Even after 11 years, they still attack him over his MA degree, do you think they would have let a sexual misconduct issue pass if it had even an iota of truth? The argument also misuses unrelated facts. The appointment of Smriti Irani is cited as “proof,” which is illogical. Cabinet choices are political, not evidence of misconduct. Similarly, insinuations about Hardeep Singh Puri or S. Jaishankar without evidence are baseless. References to “Supreme Court papers” without case details further expose the lack of credibility. Another clear red flag is the heavy reliance on personal emotion to validate the claims. Statements about being “traumatized” or “depressed” are presented as if they strengthen the argument, but emotional reactions do not convert rumours into facts. This is narrative persuasion, not evidence. The narrative then spirals into a typical conspiracy chain, misconduct, blackmail, foreign control, without any logical or evidentiary link. Lastly, the burden of proof is reversed. The author makes sweeping allegations and promises evidence later. That’s not how credibility works. These claims remain unverified and unreliable, no matter how confidently they are narrated.

This explains why I kept a safe distance from Modi from the time he assumed power in May 2014. I did not even go to gift him a copy of my book on him. Just sent an unsigned copy through his favourite bureaucrat Bharat Lal! The names of women who were made MPs and ministers by Modi due to intimacy with him were being whispered loudly enough within Sanghi power networks right at the outset. That is why I took precautions very early on. The names of those like Hardeep Puri who provided him special services while he was Gujarat CM were also being shared in hushed tones as soon as Hardeep and Jaishankar were included in the Cabinet! In 2014, when I went for lectures to America, there too tales of his aiyyashi were doing the rounds. Appointment of 12th pass Smriti Irani as Education Minister had given credence to other scandals, till then hidden from public view. The scandal involving Mansi Soni had already reached the Supreme Court. Someone close to Modi gave me a whole set of papers submitted in the Supreme Court by the incarcerated IAS officer who too was having a rollicking time with Soni. In addition, people from Gujarat, including some of those close to Modi, shared with me disgusting stories of his sickly dalliances with women while he was Gujarat CM. And earlier while he was pracharak and BJP office bearer! Hearing those stories, I became so averse to his presence that I avoided even those functions, including marriage receptions, where Modi was likely to show up! So traumatized I was by the gory accounts that I actually sank into deep depression in 2014 which deeply impacted my health. Went for 21 days to an Ayurvedic healing centre in Coimbatore in 2015 in the hope of recovering from multiple shocks. I remember when I shared my grief at the reports I was hearing with a very senior RSS intellectual, he shrugged it off saying, "why are you so shocked? Why should his personal life bother any of us?" The appointment of #pornpeddler Amit Malviya as BJP's Social Media incharge was yet another proof of the inclinations of the top bosses of BJP! I might have overlooked his predatory sexual conduct, if he had done well on other fronts. But his aggressive peddling of genocidal vaccines and brazen attempts at crushing Hindu samaj and demonizing Hindu dharma, his outrageous patronage of Bheemtas and Meemtas to launch lethal attacks on Hindus, his slavish conduct vis a vis the Globalist Mafia, his devilish conduct in persecuting Hindus during the Kathua Kand (described in detail in my book The Girl From Kathua, A Sacrificial Victim of GhazwaE Hind) and much else, made me realize in the first term itself that we are saddled with a Satanic ruler, a CIA plant who has been put in power to wreck India, and decimate Hindus! Modi's personality disorders have convinced me that we should pay far more attention to sexual corruption of our leaders. Those who are compromised on this front very easily succumb to blackmail by enemies of Bharat, than those who are financially corrupt! Will soon provide proof of how he is being blackmailed from day one. Hence the vulgar 56 inchiya boasts!

Roger Telemachus may not always be the first name that comes to mind when recalling South African cricket, but there are moments in his career that quietly place him right at the heart of some unforgettable stories. One such moment came during that remarkable ODI in Johannesburg, when South Africa chased down an almost unthinkable 435 against Australia. It was a game filled with twists, and Telemachus had his part to play. With the ball, he managed to remove two of Australia’s biggest threats — Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting — even though his spell proved expensive, going for 87 runs in his 10 overs. But his contribution didn’t end there. Later, with the chase reaching its most tense phase, Telemachus walked in at No. 9. South Africa still needed 36 runs from 21 balls — a situation balanced on a knife-edge. In a brief but valuable cameo, he scored 12 runs off just six deliveries, striking two boundaries that helped push the game closer to its dramatic finish before he was dismissed. And then there’s another story — one that captures the lighter, more unpredictable side of cricket. In a domestic first-class match, Daryll Cullinan once launched Telemachus for a towering six that sailed out of the ground… and into a nearby kitchen. The ball landed, rather unusually, in a frying pan filled with calamari. Play came to a halt as the ball was retrieved and cleaned, with everyone opting to carry on with the same ball rather than replace it — a moment as bizarre as it was memorable. As Roger Telemachus turned 53, it’s a chance to look back at a career that spanned 40 limited-overs internationals and 58 wickets — and remember the small but meaningful roles he played in some of cricket’s most fascinating moments.

This is what real humiliation looks like: an enemy turns your country into their hunting ground, killing at will, and all you do is run to the US president and beg for help despite having the world’s second-largest army. And then you have the sheer audacity, the nerve, to mock the current incumbent as “surrender”? The very person who responded to such provocations by crossing the LoC twice and the IB once, forcing Pakistan to run to the US for help, the exact opposite of what happened before him.

UP’s second biggest achievement after law & order is infrastructure. I kept law & order on top because peace is a prerequisite for robust investment and growth. UP today has one of the largest pushes in India: maximum expressways, one of the biggest road networks, 16+ operational airports, metro in multiple cities, India’s first RRTS corridor, massive logistics and data centre hubs coming up, dedicated freight corridors passing through the state, multi-modal logistics parks, inland waterways on the Ganga, rapid electrification and power capacity expansion, and industrial corridors driving manufacturing growth. In the last 9 years, UP has significantly improved its economic ranking among Indian states, driven in large part by its infrastructure push. Its growth rate has consistently remained above the national average, reflecting sustained momentum. #9YearsOfRisingUP

After reviewing the video frame-by-frame and cross-checking reactions, it shows clear AI indicators: vehicles drive on the wrong side of the road for India (right-hand traffic, not left as per Indian rules), plus unnatural blending in curves, shadows, and distant motion. Real Assam highways (like NH-27 stretches) are high-quality but this clip matches generated patterns, not authentic drone footage. No official source confirms it as real.

SA have looked the better team getting into the semis. They have been clinical in all their 7 wins. They had briefly been pushed by India in the Powerplay, but they found a way to win. They were pushed by Afghanistan into 2 super overs, but somehow held their nerve. New Zealand on the other hand have been clinical against some of the lesser ranked sides, and have been pushed in pressure in the game vs England and South Africa. They won vs SL after a great rearguard performance, and took some help from Sri Lanka's incompetence on that surface. All of that could change in a knockout. I am reminded of the CWC 2011 game in Dhaka, where SA came from topping the group, and NZ came as 4th in that group. SA succumbed from being 108/2 in a 222 chase to collapse to 172, after having a stellar subcontinental WC (similar to 1996). What are your memories from SA v NZ? Who do you think will make it tonight? My bet is on NZ to do a stunner tonight, and leave Shukri Conrad wondering, if the curse of the 'C' Word or Cupcake would ever leave them Images: ICC/Getty/ESPN
