I ordered something for my patient without asking the attending today cuz he was busy with a trauma. It was a minute between me ordering it and confirming with him and I had a panic attack. It was Tylenol. TYLENOL for fever.

During my research year, I published 30+ papers. So how can YOU make the most of a #research year? 1. Don't be afraid to come up with your own project ideas. 2. Spend time in the clinic and OR. Some of the best research questions come from problems you identify in clinic or OR.

Pro tip for application season / onboarding: Save the PDFs of your score reports from USMLE. The NBME will charge you 70 dollars (!!!!!!) for a transcript order. My residency onboarding is requesting this and I cannot for the life of me find my score report PDFs #medtwitter

@MandaliDileep Family back home kept asking my dad what was "taking me so long". Med school there is five years & right after high school. I had to work since I was 17. They kept saying I should just go to PA school. Now I have matched into one of the best neurology programs in the country.

When I was accepted into med school, my mom told me that some relatives commented that it “must be easy get into medical school” because I got in. When I graduated, my dad told me that some believed that I “bought off” my degree because “his son can’t really be a doctor.” (1/2)

Yesterday still feels surreal, I was really confident in the process, but unfortunately I didn't match. This African, ECFMG certified applicant, who has experience in clinical medicine in the tropics only wants a better chance at better medical education. We keep trying! #Match22
