Final Update 10:45 PM: The gas leak has been stopped. Crews will remain on scene to continue the overhaul and investigation. Residents will be allowed back into the unaffected homes at approximately 11:00 pm.

Update 10:30 PM: Chino Valley Fire remains on scene while the Gas company works to secure a gas line.

Chino Valley Fire responded at 3:44 PM to an apparent explosion on the 4200 block of Sierra Vista Dr. One home has major damage; nearby homes minor damage. 4 people were transported, 4 others self-transported. 16 homes were temporarily evacuated.

Chino Valley Fire Administrative Offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in recognition of Veterans Day. Fire Administration will reopen for regular business on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. All Fire Stations are fully staffed and operational.

Chino Valley Fire responded to an odor investigation at The Shoppes in Chino Hills and found elevated readings on gas monitor. Twelve units are shut down as crews ventilate the area. Firefighters will remain on scene for several hours until levels are safe. No injuries reported.

Chino Valley Fire District deployed our Rapid Extraction Module Support (REMS) Team to the Garnet Incident in Fresno County. This specialized 4-person unit of firefighter/paramedics is trained in technical rescue & provides rapid medical aid & extraction for injured firefighters

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Chino Valley Fire personnel will be wearing pink patches on their uniforms throughout October. The pink patch is a visible reminder of our support for those affected by breast cancer.
