@jo09270 @tintinpapa1 I don’t think this is in the Philippines. Look at the writing on the side of the cctv monitor. Looks Thai. Also, as a Filipino, I can vouch that using the stairs instead of elevators during earthquake or fire is taught in schools.

@tintinpapa1 As a Filipino myself I can say that most people are ignorant here. We got no measures against disaster like this besides the basic precautions. So many people are illiterate.

And nobody wants to use a toilet with the lid down because there might be an unpleasant surprise waiting. So an open lid toilet means it’s safe to use

@chikalovesworld @Kyo0108a947qdy1 Sorry abt that but most grandmas won’t bother to follow those instructions because the ‘dirty public toilet’ is so ingrained in them. They’re actually the ones who squat on the toilet seat. If they ever do close the lid, they’d probably do so with their foot.

Kudos to @AirFranceKLM. They destroyed my wife’s suitcase (stuff happens), so we trudged to the service desk. I was hoping for some duct tape and expected to fill out a form where, maybe, they’d send me twenty bucks in six weeks or so. Nope! The friendly and efficient clerk apologized for the damage, measured our suitcase, went into the back room, and returned with a brand-new suitcase, the same size, still in the shrink wrap. We swapped the contents right there and rolled out of baggage claim with the new suitcase. Nicely done. That’s the sort of service I’d expect from Singapore Air, not a European carrier. (By the way, what happened to @SamsoniteUSA? Apparently they’re no longer gorilla-proof…)

We had a baggage issue in Haneda with ANA and the staff there was able to email the file for insurance claim within minutes. But the New Chitose staff are just too slow. I just need a document. I didn’t ask ANA for compensation.

First time to fly with @FlyANA_official and I’m so disappointed with the way the luggages were handled. 3 checked-in bags damaged in 2 flights (intl & domestic). Might as well replace your staff at New Chitose with AI with the way the issue was handled.
