Ahead of tomorrow’s annual @AFCCT Day fixture, 500 tickets have been distributed to participants across our community programmes as well as selected local charities. Pupils from our partner primary and secondary schools are among the recipients, along with attendees of our partner charities and health & wellbeing initiatives, including the Pittodrie Hub, Health Walks and Football Memories. Our back garden - snow up to my knees (i'm 6 ft 5) & continuing to fall - communities in the north east cut off, schools closed; queues at local shops - the list could go on. This feels like a very significant weather event, i cant think of anything similar for at least 15 years

Ahead of kick-off we're inviting everyone to join us in a moment of remembrance, as we pay our respects to members of the AFC family who we have sadly lost this year. Please be seated by 5.30pm and we would encourage everyone to light up their phones while the piper plays.

💫 and that’s a wrap for 2025! It has been another busy year at the Pittodrie Community Hub, and we enjoyed our final session of the year with an afternoon of Christmas joy and a festive meal. To add to the Christmas cheer, we were able to hand out hampers and shopping vouchers for people to take home and enjoy over the holidays until the Hub returns in January. Thank you to the Ellen and Ian Graham Foundation for their generosity which has enabled this to happen.

@4theharv @StevenReith No, I didn't know that. I remember he always had an advert in the programme and loved to tell stories about the Don's team coming in to his place.

@dallsheed @StevenReith Yip, I recall that too. Do you know that the Dons player Ian Fleming used to cut hair at Ian Turnbull's back in the day too.

Just heard that Ian Turnbull has passed away, he ran a hairdresser in the Spital for many years. He got me a ticket and a seat on his bus for the League Cup final in 1987, my first away game. He was a very nice guy, spoke to everyone, a huge Aberdeen fan, he will be sadly missed.

@4theharv @StevenReith RIP Ian Turnball ❤️, hairdresser to the Don's back in the day. His place in the Spital had loads of photos of the Don's players, and getting my hair cut there just like a Aberdeen Player, my mum knew Ian back in the 70s. 🔴⚪️⚽️
